I use Tenofovir for PrEP and overall I’ve tolerated it well. There was some bloating and mild stomach discomfort when I first started, but it didn’t last. I was expecting something much more noticeable. Now the hardest part is remembering whether I actually took it or just thought about taking it, so the phone reminder stays firmly switched on.

I’ve found Tenofovir quite manageable. For the first week my stomach seemed determined to complain about everything I ate, although it was never severe. That eventually passed and my appetite returned to normal. I haven’t had any major issues since, and regular monitoring gives me some reassurance.

Tenofovir has worked well for me as PrEP, although the first few days weren’t completely symptom-free. I had a slight headache, a bit of nausea and not much appetite. By the second week I felt back to normal. It hasn’t affected my day-to-day life since then, which was one of my main concerns before starting.

I had a mixed start with Tenofovir because my stomach didn’t agree with it straight away. There was some nausea and occasional loose stools, which was annoying while commuting. Fortunately the digestive side of things settled fairly quickly. Since then I’ve found it much easier than I expected and haven’t had much to complain about.

I started Tenofovir for PrEP and mostly wanted something practical that wouldn’t interfere with everyday life. I had mild nausea at the start, particularly in the mornings, and felt slightly low on energy for a few days. After that, things settled nicely. No fireworks, no dramatic transformation, just a medication that became part of the routine. Sometimes boring really is a feature, not a bug.
